Paul Dijkstra
Chief Executive Officer
Paul Dijkstra joined InterHealth in September of 2005 as Executive Vice President and was promoted to CEO in January of 2007. Paul leads both the domestic and international sales and marketing teams and is charged with the responsibility of corporate planning and development along with the management of day-to-day operations of the company. A veteran in the healthcare industry, his talents and wealth of experience are valuable assets to InterHealth. Paul received his MBA from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.

Chief Financial Officer
A member of the InterHealth team since 1995, Mary Helen Lucero is responsible for management of the company’s financial operations, investor relations and human resources, as well as customer service and facility operations. She has been instrumental in the company’s growth and profitability. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Senior Vice President R&D
Debasis Bagchi, Ph.D., FACN, CNS, MAIChE, joined InterHealth in 1998. Dr. Bagchi received his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry in 1982. He is the Senior Vice President of Research and Development of InterHealth Nutraceuticals, Inc. Dr. Bagchi is also a Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Sciences at Creighton University Medical Center, Omaha, NE. His research interests include obesity and metabolic syndrome, oxidative stress and antioxidant cytoprotection, angiogenesis, and gene expression. Dr. Bagchi has 251 papers in peer reviewed journals, edited numerous books, delivered invited lectures in various national and international scientific conferences, organized workshops, and group discussion sessions. Dr. Bagchi is the President Elect of the American College of Nutrition, Clearwater, FL, and Chair of Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods Division of the Institute of Food Technologists, Chicago, IL. He is a Member of the Society of Toxicology and a Member of the New York Academy of Sciences. Dr. Bagchi is a Member of the Study Section and Peer Review Committee of the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD. Dr. Bagchi is also serving as Editorial Board Members of numerous peer reviewed journals.

Vice President of Operations
Dr. Massood Moshrefi joined InterHealth in 2000 as chief operating officer. He has nearly two decades of experience in the development, scale-up and manufacturing of consumer food, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical products. Prior to joining InterHealth, Dr. Moshrefi served in senior management positions with a number of large and small companies in the health, cosmetic, personal care and dietary supplement industries. He received his Ph.D. in agricultural engineering from the University of California at Davis, and holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from California State University, Fresno.

Director of Information Technologies
Part of the InterHealth team since 1995, Fred Zilz has headed the company’s IT department since 2000 and prior to that was director of sales for the Western Region. Before joining InterHealth, Fred served as technical sales manager for Lucas Meyer, Inc. in Illinois. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in genetics and development for the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.

Jay Martin joined the InterHealth team in October 2007. He is responsible for providing strategic marketing direction and management of all activities within the marketing department. Jay comes to InterHealth with more than 15 years of marketing, research and development experience with industry leaders that include Pharmavite, Weider Nutrition, Kellogg, Abbott Labs and Merck KGaA. His expertise includes product development from concept through launch, new business development, brand and general marketing management. Jay has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bard College (Annandale-on-Hudson, NY) and an MBA from the University of Southern California (Los Angeles).

Vice President of International Sales
Darryl Mircheff joined InterHealth in 2003 and is responsible for all business development and sales initiatives outside of the U.S. and Canada. He has more than 20 years of domestic, Pacific Rim and European sales and international marketing experience. Prior to coming to InterHealth he served as Technical Sourcing International’s sales director for the Western Region and Pacific Rim. Darryl has a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of California at Los Angeles

Gary Shap came to InterHealth in 2006 with more than 15 years of experience in the nutritional supplement and food products industry, including North American sales manager for Cargill/Degussa Food Ingredients. He leads the company’s sales and business development efforts for the U.S. and Canada. In addition to his extensive sales background, Gary also has significant experience as a chemist and environmental technician. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental biology from Governers State University, University Park, Illinois.

Rob Worsena joined InterHealth in May 2007 with more than 20 years’ experience in the nutritional supplement, food, beverage and consumer healthcare industries. He is responsible for business development for the company’s expanding functional food and beverage division. Prior to joining InterHealth, Mr. Worsena held several sales management and strategic marketing positions with Perrigo Company, where he helped to direct the sales, new product growth and customer marketing of an extensive line of nutritional supplements, functional foods, beverages and consumer healthcare products. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Florida State University.
