Super CitriMax® Shown to be Bioavailable in Humans

Researchers at the University of California, Berkeley, have shown that oral (–)-hydroxycitric acid (HCA) as Super CitriMax® is absorbed and retained by obese subjects. Using a new rapid and accurate gas chromatography/mass spectrometric method for measuring blood levels of HCA, the scientists found that blood levels of Super CitriMax increased for at least 2 hours and remained in the blood for more than 4 hours after ingestion. Absorption rates varied among subjects.
