ALLER-7® STUDY PUBLISHED IN DRUGS UNDER EXPERIMENTAL & CLINICAL RESEARCH
Proven Effective in Promoting Respiratory Health

BENICIA , Calif. , February 17, 2004 - Results of a recent study confirm that Aller-7® is highly effective in promoting respiratory health and normal breathing in the presence of airborne allergies. The study, published in Drugs Under Experimental Research (XXIX:107-116, 2003), examined the proprietary ingredient's underlying mechanisms of action. Aller-7®, a unique combination of seven herbal extracts (patent-pending), is a proprietary branded ingredient of InterHealth Nutraceuticals.

Airborne allergies affect more than 40 million Americans and are the sixth leading cause of chronic disease in the U.S. , costing consumers more than $4.5 billion each year in search of relief.

Allergies are caused by an over-active immune system. When exposed to allergens such as pollen, mold or dust, mast cells degranulate and release their stores of inflammatory mediators, including tissue-damaging enzymes and histamine, which are the root cause of common allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching and runny nose. In the study, Aller-7® was found to stabilize mast cells, which stopped the degranulation process and, thus, the release of histamine. Aller-7® also inhibited lipoxygenase and hyaluronidase, key enzymes that cause inflammation within the mast cells.

Thus, the present study further confirms the ability of Aller-7® to promote a healthy immune system before it becomes a problem. "This research further confirms the potential for Aller-7® to help millions of people breath normally seasonally and all year long," stated InterHealth President & CEO William Seroy. "Importantly, Aller-7® is completely natural and safe to take."
