Active Ingredient in CitriMax® Found to Increase Fat Loss and Weight Reduction in Overweight Persons

In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study, overweight subjects consuming (-)hydroxycitric acid (HCA) demonstrated significantly greater weight loss than subjects consuming a placebo. The weight loss was primarily due to loss of fat. Appetite scores were reduced in the HCA group, but not in the placebo group. The group receiving HCA also had greater reductions in blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and hip and waist circumference than the group receiving the placebo. Test subjects received 1320 mg HCA per day for 8 weeks; tolerance was excellent.
